GEF Awards & Recognition
The GEF Awards recognize outstanding individuals and organizations demonstrating excellence in leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainability and positive social impact. The YGEL (Young Global Economic Leader) Awards recognize emerging and young leaders, while the GEL (Global Economic Leader) Awards honor established leaders and achievers who have made significant contributions to business, economic development and society. The current award framework distinguishes YGEL for individuals aged 40 and below and GEL for individuals above 40.
YGEL Awards recognize young entrepreneurs, innovators, future economic leaders and sustainability champions through categories including Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Innovator of the Year, Future Economic Leader Award, and Young Sustainability Champion. GEL Awards recognize established leaders and organizations through Global Leadership Excellence Award, Global Entrepreneurship of the Year, Global Innovation Award, Global Sustainability Award, and Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Global Business Pitching Competition Awards further recognize outstanding businesses and pitching achievements through Best Startup & Pitch Award, Best Tech Disrupter Award, and Impact & ESG Pitch Champion Award. Together, these awards provide a platform to celebrate entrepreneurs, business leaders, innovators, startups and changemakers whose ideas, leadership and achievements create meaningful economic and social impact. The awards are presented on the global stage of the Global Economic Forum and evaluated through an official judging process.
